Becoming a Vendor

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at the Lewiston Artisan Farmers Market.

Our market runs year-round, so we have 2 applications for vendors:

  • Summer Market (vending dates: June 1-mid-October)

  • Winter Market (vending dates: end of October - end of May)​

​

Our market receives more applications from potential vendors than what space allows. We work to curate a wide variety of vendors throughout the market season, but may turn down vendor interest if there is too much overlap in similar products.

Requirements to Become a Vendor

All vendors must have a DBA or EIN. Participation is limited to legitimate businesses as defined by New York State and Federal regulations.

All Vendors are required to have liability insurance in order to participate. 

​

Most vendors fall into a category where they need to also provide a copy of certificates/licensing from New York State departments. These include:

  • Alcohol License: All breweries, distilleries and wineries providing samples or selling their products at the market will make sure they are in compliance with NYS rules and regulations and have the appropriate licensing, on hand, during market hours.

  • Department of Health Certificate: Selling hot, cold, processed or other perishable items requires vendors to be in compliance with the Health Department.

  • Nursery License: If you sell nursery plants and\or greenhouse crops (seedlings), you must have a NYS Nursery License

  • Certificate of Authority: If you collect sales tax on your products (ie: non-produce, meat, dairy, or some baked good products), you must have a NYS Certificate of Authority & collect sales tax.

All documents that pertain to your business must be emailed & on file with the Market Manager.

Types of Vendors & Pricing

At our market, we offer a variety of ways for you to vend - full time, part time, pop-up, & festival only dates.

​

  • Full Time: Vendors who sign-up as a Full Time vendor for the season must agree to attend 85% of the market dates (16 minimum out of 19 Saturdays). Full Time vendors will be assigned a designated space. Pricing starts at $375 for the season.

 

  • Part Time: Part Time vendors must participate in AT LEAST FIVE (5) markets during the season. As a Part Time vendor, you agree to attend ALL Saturdays being requested, by you, the vendor. As a part-time vendor you will not be guaranteed the same space each week. Pricing starts at $125 for the season.

 

  • Pop-Up: As a Pop-Up vendor, you sign up for ONE (1) individual date, excluding Summer Festival (June 27, 2026) or Fall Festival (October 10, 2026). Pricing starts at $50.

 

  • Festival-Only: As a Festival-Only vendor, you sign up for either the Summer Festival (June 27, 2026) or Fall Festival (October 10, 2026). Festival hours of the market are 9am-3pm. Pricing starts at $100.
